Joe Peterson is President of the Banfield Group, which he founded in 1997. Joe’s 25+ years of experience in transportation, logistics management and supply chain optimization has provided him with an extensive knowledge in all aspects of the transportation process. Following graduation from Auburn University in Transportation and Distribution Management in 1982, Joe began his transportation career in Sales at Gelco TIP where he quickly moved up to Leasing Manager in the Gelco Truck Leasing Division. In 1988, Joe joined PIE Nationwide where he was promoted to District Sales manager two years later. In 1993 he started a career in 3rd-party logistics. After directing and managing a logistics department for four years, Joe designed the Transportation Resource Exchange database (TREx) with The Banfield Group General Manger Lisamarie Harrison and founded The Banfield Group LLC. Lisamarie Harrison, with nearly 20 years experience in transportation and logistics management, is General Manager for The Banfield Group. Prior to joining TBG she was Manager of Transportation Services for Hollywood Entertainment Corp. (Hollywood Video/Game Crazy), the second largest video retailer in the US. While at Hollywood, Lisamarie was responsible for managing the transportation and logistics programs in support of two major distribution centers and over 1800 store locations. Together with Joe Peterson, Lisamarie programmed and implemented the TREx database system, a program that continues to grow and develop as dictated by the needs of our clients. Cathi Newville serves as Operations Supervisor for The Banfield Group. Cathi had 20 years of experience in Warehouse and Distribution Management prior to joining The Banfield Group in 1999. Cathi began her career with the accounting department at Fleming Company, Inc, a third party grocery warehouse and distribution facility in Portland, OR. There she was responsible for working with independent storeowners and preparing year-end fiscal balance sheets, along with managing the customer service department and overseeing product delivery, payment, and loss control.
