Is The Banfield Group a trucking company?
The Banfield Group is not a trucking company (AKA “carrier”). We are a 3rd Party freight management company, responsible for carrier selection, Bill of Lading (BOL) creation, Advanced Shipment Notification (ASN), shipment tracking, and claims management. We have established discount freight programs with 21 trucking companies, allowing us to invoice our clients at lower rates than they would pay if they shipped direct. We are also the legal ultimate debtor in all carrier agreements, which means that our clients are held harmless of any additional freight charges incurred by carriers on paid freight bills, when doing business with us.
Back to TopHow does The Banfield Group make money?
Even though the rates that we charge are significantly lower than what carriers would charge direct, we are able to make a profit due to the overall volume of shipments that we handle.
